Thanksgiving Potluck Nov. 26th

Let’s gather together for a Thanksgiving Potluck Feast! The turkey, gravy and mashed potatoes (white & sweet) and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be provided. In addition the club will provide an apéritif along with snacks. Members are asked to bring a large favorite Thanksgiving side dish, salad, or dessert to share with others. If your last name starts with A-L, please bring a LARGE side dish or salad, M-Z please bring a dessert. Of course, if you have a Thanksgiving favorite that’s not in your category, you can bring that as well. Non-members are welcome to come with members, but will be charged 10 euros/adult and 5 euros/child.

Halloween Trick or Treat – November 11th

Jeepers creepers! It's time for Halloween! This year the American Club is organizing trick-or-treating in the 2nd arrondissement. Trick-or-treaters will be provided with a map of apartments/stores to visit. You can either follow your own route or walk as a group, meeting at Place Bellecour by the Horse statue. This event is for members only and their guests. Members are free, but non-members must pay 5€/child.

Book Club Nov 9th

October’s book club selection is The Little Prince by Antoine De Saint Exupery Moral allegory and spiritual autobiography, The Little Prince is the most translated book in the French language. With a timeless charm it tells the story of a little boy who leaves the safety of his own tiny planet to travel the universe, learning the vagaries of adult behaviour through a series of extraordinary encounters. His personal odyssey culminates in a voyage to Earth and further adventures.

Fruit, Veggie & Flower Picking Sept. 24th

Join us for a morning of fruit, veggie and flower picking at a farm where adults and children can enjoy picking their own fresh food. Grab a wheelbarrow and walk around the greenhouses and fields to find what you need for the week. Based on the farm's calendar, September is a month where fresh produce is abound. There is also a small farmer's market where they sell jams, conserves, juices and other seasonal produce that is a more difficult to pick yourself. After you finish picking your produce, you just pay for what you picked.
